Re: Angle mate dimension selector no longer visible
It was a struggle for a bit. I don't remember this being a thing. Maybe a bug in 2021 SP3.0? At any rate, thanks for the inspiration to dig into it further.

Re: Angle mate dimension selector no longer visible
Hmmm.... I've picked faces before without issue. You got me thinking, however. I messed around with the same assembly from my earlier screenshot. I was stumped for quite a bit, but eventually I figured it out. If you pick mating faces that are either 0 degrees or 180 degrees it will not give you the...

Re: Angle mate dimension selector no longer visible
In the second shot included in my message you will note that the reference entity has been selected, yet no dimension selector visible. I tried selecting multiple different reference faces with no success. This is something that I have used extensively in the past without issue. I don't know when it...

Angle mate dimension selector no longer visible
All, Several years ago SW added the reference entity to the angle mate dialog to help with the flipping issue. Along with that they added the "dimension selector" to give the user to ability select the quadrant they want to reference for the angle dimension itself. For some reason, this di...

Re: Bearing connector degrees of freedom
Yeah, that's correct. I didn't think there was an immediate solution, but I was hoping that someone might know a trick that I don't. Like Abaqus, NX Nastran also has the ability to manually set degrees of freedom right down to the node level. SW Simulation is much more automated, which is nice from ...

Bearing connector degrees of freedom
Anyone have a good way to implement some sort of retaining ring with bearing connectors (similar to pin connectors)? I use pin connectors to simulation bearings, but they don't have the self alignment option like bearing connectors do.

Re: Colors of imported file - part versus body
Yeah, see that's the issue. When importing the step the colors that come across are established at the body level. The color that's in the default template overrides the body color that came from the step. I want to make 2D dwg files that maintain the imported colors. The components all have various...

Colors of imported file - part versus body
All, I have step files that were generated from an outside source. I needed to import them and create a drawing to export dwg views. I was having difficulty getting the color wireframe to export to the dwg properly. The problem that I have encountered is that the colors of the parts are at the body ...
