Draft Quality Views

Unread post by berg_lauritz »

Here comes my favorite super specific SolidWorks behavior so far:
  1. open assembly lightweight
  2. convert to drawing with at least one pre-defined view
  3. Click on one view
  4. under Display Style there is a radio button option: Draft quality or Hight quality
  5. after changing to High quality this button disappears

Things you cannot see, while model is in the Draft quality Display Style:
  • line styles of model edges won't show up (thickness, color etc.)
  • after changing it to the High quality Display style they show up
Now here comes the best part:
  • If you load the model resolved, the pre-defined views are automatically set to the High quality Display style
  • if you manually insert a model view of the lightweight model, the view is automatically set to the High quality Display style
