Visible PDM Variables in off line mode

Unread post by Hansjoerg »

Hello to all,

which variables from PDM are displayed in off line mode in normal windows file explorer?
I read this a few weeks ago in a description from a SWX dealer from USA? but I can't find the description anymore. grumph
I mean it was definitely Discription and Status, the others I don't remember.
Does anyone know this instruction or has another source about which PDM variable names should not be changed because of the display in File explorer?

Thanks
All the "good" news about SWX makes me feel like I'm driving a truck with two trailers straight into a dead end.

None really except the file Windows columns and one called "Writable" to indicate if you have the file checked out for write access. But since the DB isn't connected they defaults don't show since it can't populate the data without the DB.

Oh shock, you're right.

I confused this with the display in the "normal" Explorer.
There you can display the content of the variable "Description".
Is it not possible to add more columns in the PDM display in Off Line mode?

how can you work in offline mode if you don't use speaking filenames?

My frustration level rises to a new high!

Yeah, you can't add custom columns in offline mode. Would be nice to leave Number, Description, and Revision intact. We don't work offline that much so I've never heard anyone complain about this. Most everyone has a VPN connection and a hotspot if needed.
