Creating a channel 2x faces for a wire

Unread post by oriddlero »

I'm pretty new to solid works and I'm stuck. I'm trying to create a wire channel or tunnel between the two areas shown in the image. The rectangular cutouts are for LED strips and i will need to route the wire to the 4 strips. any advice on how to add this? It's a weird transition of angles :(

Hello @oriddlero, Easiest way is to make a Reference Plane and Sweep Cut an arc. If the wire cannot fit in a 2D plane you should do it using Spline in a 3DSketch.

The Spline handles are inactive when created, you must click the Spline and look for the grey arrows and drag them to use it.

Sorry, I ran out of time today to send an example. Could you share the file? I am using Sw 2021
