Can't Resolve Error In Static Stress Simulation

Running my sim results in the following error:

"The Iterative Solver stopped. Numerical difficulties. (Preconditioning failed) Please check model boundary conditions. No results saved."

I've seen this before and it's always been a missing boundary condition, but not this time. I can't figure out why it's not running. I need help.

What SOLIDWORKS version and service pack are you using?

Also, if you switch from the FFEPlus solver to some other solver (e.g. Intel Direct Sparse) in the study properties page, it may solve:

That worked, thanks. Why was FFEPlus automatically selected if it can't sim this? This isn't a weird stress sim by any means. I wonder what the main difference between Intel Direct Sparse and FFEPlus is.
