Select and clipping

Unread post by Damianes »

In different software clipping makes invisible unselectable
so its very easy to hide something and select what i want - and i think its logic :)

But SE works differently maybe all CAD software works this way i do not know... but for me its very stupid
i know i can wait for this three dots but its just wasting time
is it poseable to use this clipping in a way witch will make my life easier ? or there is no settings for this ? ?

on the screan i wanted to select plane inside

@Damianes If you use the Clipping Plane, it does not clip the geometry but rather it clips the display.

Instead, under the PMI ribbon menu use the command "Section by Plane" which will clip the geometry and then you will be able to select the faces directly below the faces that were removed.

Are you asking how to turn off the PMI section? If so, you will find a "Section Views" node in the pathfinder where you can turn them on/off, and you can also have multiples if needed whereas the Clipping Plane only allows one instance.
