Extruded Cut - feature cannot be created
Hi all,
In the attached file, I'm trying to use "SKETCH Middle Hole" to create a cut through the one body in the file. However, when I go to do so, I get the below error message, and I don't understand what it means. Anyone have any advice ?
All help is appreciated, especially with screenshots!
Thanks in advance,

I'm having trouble viewing the image you posted about the missing radius because it's such a tiny image. Would you mind providing a verbal description, or better yet, a larger image of the missing radius ?

You're lacking a radius in your symetryBallfreak10 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 10:00 am Hi all,

Re: Extruded Cut - feature cannot be created
Excuse me, I forgot to adress the error message.
The error message is because you're doing two direction extrudes, so it's telling you that one of it's direction is not crossing any of the bodies.

Even when I uncheck Direction 2 and make sure it's in the right direction, the cut still doesn't execute.

You might be trying to paste the image into the Quick Reply window instead of the full editor.Ballfreak10 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 11:25 am

Open up your sketch, add the radius needed that I circled, and then relaunch the extrude feature. It should automatically select the proper direction without you having to toggle anything.Ballfreak10 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 11:25 am Even when I uncheck Direction 2 and make sure it's in the right direction, the cut still doesn't execute.

Until you add the missing radius, your profile remains open and cannot create an extruded cut.

If you don't understand the concept of a closed contour, you probably need to spend more time with the tutorials.
Maybe an answer in one of these posts will help.
