I got an email from one of the engineers here yesterday about making a modification to one of his projects. It has some 3/16" thick steel plate. He decided that was thicker than necessary, and wondered about the availability of 2/16" plate.
I just changed the model and drawing to 1/8" and sent it to him to review, but I wish I had responded with "I don't think we can get 2/16" plate. Can we use 1/8" instead?"
He's a good guy, and this was out of character for him, but I couldn't help but be amused.

That seems like an extreme response. When I first saw it I assumed there had been other replies and the OP had said something to precipitate that reaction, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

If he lined them up short to long (instead of long to long and short to short) he wouldn't have the vans hanging out in the street. His OCD needs a little fine tuning.

I worked with a fellow that insisted it was not a Disorder. He also said it should be CDO because that is the alphabetical order.

Well the response checks two of the three boxes. It was concise, provided clear direction of what to do, but the advice given probably won't solve the problem.
@DennisD,
Jokes are funny, that's just sad...It is "the dark pit of despair and frustration", afterall.

I need everything perfect.
They can be 100% correct.
Or 100% wrong.

Whatever I have, it has been as much of a blessing as a curse.

Ahhh, so now we know the company Dilbert works for.
I don't see what's funny about that...It appears to be a well kept secret if only 7 people know about it.

This would be a lot funnier if it wasn't our lot being destroyed. Check the timer in the upper left hand corner. It took him almost an hour to escape. (This is 32x speed.)
Did I mention this happened on Saturday morning? Right after 24 hours of rain from a hurricane.
