using same insertion point in dynamic block.

Unread post by Audio-Bytes »

Hi All, my first time to put up topic, so please bear with me.

I have a dynamic block with the usual linear stretch, up down for raised floor and width for all 3 floor types, unknown, solid, raised/computer flooring. it all works fine with no issues, i am trying to do a final update/change to it. i would like to make the 3 floors all use the same insertion point, so when you go from unknown to raised the actual FFL will be in the same place without having to relocate the block to the FFL ref point.

any help would be appreciated.

@Audio-Bytes Which software are you using, I'm assuming AutoCAD? This might need to go in the Misc-CAD section @matt.

I'm assuming that you are using AutoCAD. If that is the case, you can insert a 'Basepoint' parameter at the insert location of the block and ensure that the 'Basepoint' parameter is visible in all three visibility states. This should do it.
