PDM Search - Latest version only

Unread post by MMartens »

I have a search card setup for searching through ECRs in our system. The ECRs have a status property on them. When I search for open ECRs the results will show everything because it sees the past versions of the files when the status property was open. I can get around this by putting a Search Previous Versions control on the search card but it is defaulted to checked. So now my users have to uncheck it every time.

I'm looking for a way to only search the latest version of variables at all times without requiring my users to uncheck the box. Any suggestions?

That's strange. Both of our search cards have this checkbox, and they are both unchecked by default. I cannot find how to change the default to be checked like you have.

Edit: I had my first successful KB search! look up: S-037682

in a nut shell"
1) Open the Search Card
2) Select from file menu: Card -> Default Properties

3) add the variables and default values.
