Windows mouse speed is from 1 to 20 (continuous), but to change it, you must open the mouse settings, so dynamic speed adjustment isn't possible.
The attached utility slows your mouse cursor speed, as a percentage of your normal speed, when the Ctrl and Alt keys are pressed.
Release these keys and your cursor speed returns to its previous speed.
The slower speed can help with fine selections as your hand travels farther for less cursor movement.
The pressing of Ctrl & Alt for HoverSloMo doesn't interfere with the use of these keys in other keyboard shortcuts.
To install: Extract the exe file from the attached zip and run it.
Nothing is "installed" and there are no mods made to your computer.
To uninstall: Delete the exe file.
To adjust the HoverSloMo speed: In the Notification area on the lower right corner, right click the HoverSloMo icon and select "Adjust HoverSloMo Speed". To halt the action without closing the utility, select Suspend. To terminate HoverSloMo, select Exit.
Whe you select "Adjust HoverSloMo Speed", this opens the Adjust HoverSloMo Speed dialog.
The top bar is your normal mouse speed.
The second bar is your current HoverSloMo speed.
To change your HoverSloMo speed, drag the slider between 5% And 95% and this speed is displayed in the third bar.
To save your changed HoverSloMo speed, click Save, otherwise click Cancel.
To get a feel for what the changed speed will be like, click the Test button. The New speed is set (without having to hold down Ctrl & Alt).
While testing, click the Test button again (it nows says Cancel) and your normal speed is restored.
