Does anyone happen to know any ISO standards that outline how to "correctly" name a part?
I know MIL-STD-100 / ASME Y14.100 has some statements in it, I assume there's an ISO equivalent somewhere but my search engine skills are failing me.

Thanks for the suggestion. Taken a look and it's more to do with what fields you should use in a BOM, very little by way of how to create an item name.
