Is there a way to show a sheet metal part's K factor on the .SLDDRW?
Is there a way to show a sheet metal part's K factor on the .SLDDRW?
If I have an .SLDDRW of a sheet metal part, is there a way to link text on that .SLDDRW to the part's K-factor?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You can link a note to Bend Allowance cut list property.

Thanks, Deepak.
Now to ask an ignorant question, but how do I do that?

Add a note in the drawing attached to the view and link to the custom property "Bend Allowance" as shown in attached video.

Make sure to update, or pick update automatically on the cut list of the part or the cultist options won't appear when you go to add them to the note.

Thanks for the video, it was extremely helpful.
One thing that I should have mentioned in my original post, though: I want the K-Factor to appear in my title block (i.e. it will be just text, not a leader that is ultimately associated with an .SLDPRT).

Use the same method and select "drawing view specified in Sheet properties" option.

I suppose that you could add that in your "Custom Properties".. Something like this. I added the words "k-factor=" in and got the syntax from "Cut List Properties" cut and paste.
The value is the k-factor value from the "Sheet-Metal" dialog ,which of course your can set that to what is appropriate. In the drawing you can link a note or text in the bom or title block to that.- AlexLachance

This is what I would go with, careful though, annotations can sometimes be tricky to get to update. Generally not in parts though.Dennis Bacon wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 6:28 pm I suppose that you could add that in your "Custom Properties".. Something like this. Lots of good, helpful ideas here, but it sounds like there is no direct way to line a note to part's bend allowance data.

Sorry forgot that cut list won't appear in the list unless you attach to the model. SO like @Dennis Bacon said, you will have to use the custom property route.
