Simple Hole sketch dimensions in Equation Manager

Do you use Simple Hole feature?

Never. We always use HoleWizard feature to create even a Simple Hole

Simple Hole sketch dimensions in Equation Manager

Unread post by NirVidSwkCF »

I created a simple hole on a face of a block. I then created a dimension from an edge of the face to the center of the simple hole.

Dimension Created in Simple Hole Sketch
Dimension Created in Simple Hole Sketch

But the dimensions does not show in the Equation Manager.

Dimension Missing in EQN. Mgr.
Dimension Missing in EQN. Mgr.

Is this normal behavior? I am not a regular user of SolidWorks, so am I missing something?

Also, do you use simple hole feature or you just use Hole Wizard to create even a simple hole? Just curious to know!

Thanks in advance for your responses.

I use Hole Wizard for typical standard size holes, mostly for fastening hardware. And cut extrude holes for everything else. I never use the simple hole...seems like there were limitations at one time...maybe no longer though.
