I'm trying to create a closed hem using SolidWorks. I am on SolidWorks 2020, SP 5.0. This is a part that doesn't have to be 100% accurate since I'm just modeling something we will buy.
Here's my hem creation:
The hem is spaced out by the radius.
I am considering just making this a multibody part and not worrying about it, but it is frustrating.
I have attached the part file.
Is it possible to get SolidWorks to actually create a closed hem?

You should be able to change the gap or rad to a very small value.

I can't open 2020 but it would seem to me that you will never be able to get a, surface to surface, closed hem as that would end up making a zero geometry issue. However I would also thing that by messing with the custom bend allowances, bend radii etc you should be able to get really close to zero. I'd guess you'd might have to fudge the K-factor as well.
All that being said, are you going to be able to get a truly closed hem in reality?

I'm trying to model a stamping where the part is folded over on itself. It looks to me like the surfaces are touching. I have not found anything that changes the hem to make the inside radius any smaller. I'm going to walk away from it because I don't need that level of accuracy in my model.
