Deleting Custom Properties Links?

Hi all,
I have a Weldment file I inherited and for some reason the custom properties are all linked, and I cannot delete them as "Delete" is greyed out.
Configuration Specific also has this going on as well:
This weldment was created with part files in a part file, still trying to understand how this is a better method than making a assembly file as a weldment when you are using the same pre-machined parts to create several items, but that is another subject. as it is this places standard, but if there is a advantage please enlighten me, as I seem to have to open each part file so the Assembly part file will recognize different configurations.
I have unchecked the transfer custom properties so that helped clear some of the custom properties, although I still cant just delete them.
Regards,
Jim

When a row(s) is selected/highlighted is the delete button still greyed out?

Hi Again,
I tried highlighting the fields usually I just select all and delete and reinsert the current properties as this was a old file.
But as you can see I highlighted a row and no luck:

Jim

Any chance you can share the file to check (even in private is OK).

Hi Again,
As with everything now days it's all proprietary, either way not sure if it's a legacy issue or something else.

Jim

Hi again,
New place and rather small so no idea if we have a VAR, just deleted what I could and moved on, as with most cad jobs now days no one wants anyone to spend time fixing an issue, just get the design out the door so to speak.
In my past most solutions I get from the forums, like here and the old SW forum that they screwed up, the most I have gotten in the past from SW representatives was them take the file and never hear about it again, sad to say.
Guessing it's a legacy issue, as these files have been sitting for 5 years and 5-15 people in 2 different countries, (outsource to India), so is what it is, thanks for the interest, wish I could share the files so we could figure out the issue and proper solution if there is one.
Regards,
Jim

More likely it's is a legacy file issue but surely there might be a way to fix. I'll try to find some old files to mess with.
Oh by the way I'm in India
