For 25 years I've been fiddling with macros in SolidWorks, customizing them for specific needs job to job, to export files with a meaningful name to try to diminish errors.
And look what the nice folks at Onshape have devised:

Yes, but it's so much more fun to build and maintain your own software for that something like 24 years, like me
Also, configurations, so neat compared to SW.
