How to save as .vbproj with VSTA 3.0

Hello All,

When I check "Enable VSTA VERSION 3.0" in the general settings I can only select "save as macro .swp". But when I uncheck it I can see all other options. But then I get a warning that "SolidWorks 2020 will be the last version of SolidWorks to support VSTA 1.0". So that makes me want to save as .vbproj with VSTA 3.0..

I did a few things that I found online allready but they didnt help:
  • I modified my installation and de/reinstalled VSTA
  • I updated visual basic studio (community version)
  • I manually ran the apisdk.exe
what could I try to do more? Or.. should I just ignore the warning and go on with VSTA 1.0

Solved it..

reading through the SolidWorks help https://help.solidworks.com/2021/englis ... A_2015.htm it states specifically vsta 2015. I had VSTA 2019 Community installed. Removed that and downloaded 2015 version and it works.

maybe helpfull for someone else in the future.
